Wii U emulator – Cemu 1.3.0 Wii U emulator for Windows released, Cemu 1.3.1 in progress

The latest release of the popular Wii U emulator Cemu for windows is here. Cemu 1.3.0 was released a couple days ago on the Wii U emulator’s official site, and brings improved performance. Specifically, the changelog for Cemu 1.3.0 says:

• Added support for GPU7 geometry shaders
• Improved support for 2D texture arrays and cubemaps
• Generally improved shader emulation
• New debug option: Dump textures and shaders

It’s pretty impressive to see such fast progress on a fairly new emulator, and users are welcoming the new Cemu 1.3.0 release. User tuanming at GBATemp describes:

Cemu gave me higher average fps in general. I was able to achieved near max fps (20 fps) in Grand Prix mode; I can easily reach 19-20 fps in many instances in this new build, therefore the gameplay was much a smoother experience compared to 1.2.0
